What is included in the Child ID Kit?

Each Child Identification kit is comprised of an inkless fingerprinting card, a DNA cheek swab and collection envelope, and a parents' laminated wallet-sized ID card.

Is it necessary to register my child with an agency?

No. The Child ID kit allows parents to collect specific information by easily recording the physical characteristics and fingerprints of their children on identification cards that are then kept at home by the parent or guardian. If ever needed, this ID Kit will give authorities vital information to assist their efforts to locate a missing child.

How much do additional Child ID Kits cost?

The first Child ID kit is free with your SecureNet membership. Each additional kit may be ordered for $5 each (tax, shipping & handling included).

What do I do once I receive the Child ID Kit?

The entire fingerprinting process lasts approximately five minutes. The I.D. Kit includes a section for a current photograph, as well as space for recording descriptions and measurements. Fingerprints are produced using a clear inkless solution, developed by Inkless Image, that leaves no messy black ink or residue on fingers or clothes.
